Alla is a renowned musician to read and write music at Alpha Boys School, which has produced some of Jamaica’s finest musicians. He started producing in 1972 for artists such as Gen Washington and Blues Busters at Wackies Studio in the Bronx (New York). Alla is also noteworthy as an arranger and a musician. He plays the French Horn with the Jamaican Philharmonic and has played the keyboard in tracks such as “Revival Time” and “I Still Love You” with Chalice. His specialty is reggae “with an edge,” where the bottom end is Jamaican authentic reggae but the top en can be R&B, Hip-Hop and even a bit of Jazz. He is known for his ability to get things done, and can source all music recording resources required to complete a production.
