Known by most of his fans as “Langmann,” Christopher Birch is by profession a keyboard player, Writer and Producer. He also plays other instruments such as the trumpet and the synthesizer. Chris has his own company, “Langmann Production,” and more recently created a Latin crossover riddim called “Salsa,” which is derived from the “Sexy Lady,” also “Saucer” and “Thriller” riddims. He has both written and produced songs for Jamaica’s own multi-platinum selling artist, Shaggy (featured on Hot Shot).

 

Chris’s musical influences stem primarily from his experiences at the Montego Bay Boys School and in the Herbert Morrison Comprehensive High School Club, where he played the trumpet. He enjoys working with musical beats such as reggae, jazz, calypso, R&B and classical. He is presently working on all Big Yard Music/Longman Production artists CD’s.
