As a producer, song-writer, bass player, guitarist and vocalist, Glen has successfully experimented, mixing a series of authentic genres. He is eldest of a family of musicians and leads their music group, the “Browne Bunch.” Glen specializes in jazz reggae, and fuses traditional reggae formats such as Nyabinghi drumming with the Ska, Mento and the one-drop beat. He has also embraced modern technology incorporating sequencing and drum machines, and is skilled in fusing different genres such as West African, Latin and Funk. His style is evident in Kamau’s debut album, with tracks like “Don’t Want to See You Cry,” which brought a classic song track to popularity through a new hip-hop reggae style. Glen is also popular for his instrumental productions such as “Free Flo” featuring Dean Frazer on alto sax and Glen on bass. Glen also heads his own production company, “G.R.R. Productions.
